All of the courses you take at Northwestern Tech are field-related courses that prepare you to get to work. You are not required to take unrelated courses to earn your certificate. Our program can be completed in 11 months, and you could be working in the field in less than a year.
Employment of heating, air-conditioning, and refrigeration mechanics and installers is projected to increase 28 percent during the 2008-18 decade, much faster than the average for all occupations.

We believe that it is important to have the opportunity to apply what you learn with hands-on training. All of our courses include hands-on lab projects on HVAC/R and property maintenance equipment.
Our instructors teach what they do. Our faculty consists of HVAC/R and property maintenance professionals and/or Licensed Mechanical Contractors who currently work in the field everyday and they bring this experience to the classroom.
