All of the courses you take at Northwestern Tech are field-related courses that prepare you to get to work. You are not required to take unrelated courses to earn your certificate. Our program can be completed in 10 months, and you could be working in the field in less than a year.

At Northwestern Tech., we know how busy you are. We offer morning, afternoon, and evening classes so that you can work around your work schedule or pick the kids up from school, and still be able to attend classes.
Reading textbooks and listening to lectures will give you the basic information. However, at Northwestern Tech., we believe that it is important that you have the opportunity to apply what you’ve learned through hands-on training. That’s why all of our courses incorporate hands-on lab projects on actual HVAC/R and property maintenance equipment.
Our instructors teach what they do. Our faculty consists of HVAC/R and property maintenance professionals and/or Licensed Mechanical Contractors who currently work in the field everyday and they bring this experience to the classroom.
